Wow, how time flys. It's crazy that my baby boy turned a year old today. This day last year was full of excitement and a lot of stress. So many things have happened in the last year since Parker came to us. I'm grateful for everyday of it. He has definitely made me a stronger more caring person with all we've been through. We had a pretty good day today other than Parker having another cold. He enjoyed his first peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, which we've now discovered he has an allergy to nuts. He's got a nice rash on his face, oh well. We went to dinner with my mom and step dad. Then we came back home for a little party with my mom, step dad, and Chris's mom. Parker got a few gifts and had his birthday cupcake. His big party is this weekend. On another note, Chris started the academy on Monday. I've talked to him every night and he seems to be adjusting to it alright. He said the only problem is how much he misses us. He said the days haven't been too bad. The drill instructors yell and have made them hold their books out to their sides for over twenty minutes at a time. He said they had to do that about fifty times yesterday. Today they didn't have to do that, they just got degraded by the comissioner when he came. He told them that they were the worst cadet class that he'd seen in a long time. He told them they better learn more about the job in two weeks for when he returns. Chris had been saying their were alot of not so smart people in his class. They started with 166 people in the class. By the end of Monday they had lost 6, for unknown reasons. Anyway, he seems to be doing pretty well and should be home for the weekend as long as he passes the test on Friday. Well that's all for now.
