As most of you know we went down to Stanford last Wednesday to talk with Parker's doctor's about all of this confusion of whether he has this disease or if it was just a mistake. Well it turns out it was a mistake. They feel 100% sure that he doesn't have it with the last lab results. So it was a relief to hear that he is fine. We are still going to UCSF for a second opinion since we have been told so many times that he had the disease and then he didn't. So we just want to hear the opinion of another doctor. Stanford said the confusion was all because he was a preemie and his levels were really high. They said majority of the time they don't have any concerns with preemies with high testosterone levels when they are born since it's pretty common and they normally level off by the time they were really supposed to be born. Parker's case was the first preemie case that they actually thought he had the disease since his levels were extremely high and didn't come down much at all by the time he was supposed to be born. They didn't have an answer for what happened other than he was probably really stressed when he was born from all the medications they gave me and that would result in high levels of testosterone and adrenaline. Normal levels are between 1-100 and high levels are around 1000. Parker's levels were 4000 and above, so we understood the concern. At any rate, they believe without a doubt that he doesn't have it. Thank God! So, onto our other events... We found an apartment in Sacramento and will be moving into it on the 28th of December. Chris starts the academy on the 7th of January so, it'll give us a little time to get settled in before he heads off to the academy. Brynn is looking forward to moving and living in Sacramento but, I don't think she really understands what is happening. I'm glad she's ok with it for right now because I'm so worried about all of it. I'm sure we'll all have some adjusting to do once we are there and in the situation. Anyway, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to my mom's house and to Chris's parents house. We took the kids for a bike ride in the morning before all the feasts. They loved getting out in the fresh brisk air. It was pretty cold but, we all enjoyed getting out as a family. Well that's it for now!
