Alves Family: December

Sorry I'm way behind!! We have been in Hawaii for two weeks so my post is late. December started with Brynn being sick with Parker's cold from the previous week. She ended up getting it a lot worse than Parker. She lost her voice, had asthma problems and ultimately we ended up in the doctor's office. They put her on antibiotics for bronchitis, sinus infection and possible pnuemonia. Luckily she bounced back since they had considered putting her in the hospital.

We had Chris' work Christmas party that following weekend. Luckily Brynn was doing better and our friends are awesome and were still willing to watch the kiddos overnight so we could go. The party was a blast as usual. Lots of funny people, good food and dancing. They had a raffle and Chris came home with a giant teddy bear from Costco. That thing went everywhere with us that night.

Parker lost his first tooth on the 8th of December. He was all about pulling it out. Nothing like Brynn who doesn't like loosing teeth. We tied a piece of floss around it and yanked it out. Easy as that. Once it was out he said he looked like a hillbilly. Goofy boy.

The next week Parker ended up back at the doctor because his cold never went away and his cough was getting worse. He was put on antibiotics for bronchitis. Fun fun. Luckily he didn't miss any school and got to enjoy his Christmas party at school. They had a fun morning, they wore their pajamas, watched the polar express and had hot chocolate.

Brynn's class had an afternoon of crafts and goodies to eat. Unfortunately I didn't get to help out in her class since I was home with Parker.

Then it was Christmas break. We had a pretty uneventful break. We celebrated Christmas on the 23rd since Chris had to head to work on the 24th and was gone on the 25th. It worked out perfect. We had our friends over on our Christmas which they were celebrating Christmas too since Chris and Erich work together. We had a big Christmas dinner and relaxed while the kids played.

The kids went to the dentist, neither had cavities, thank goodness. So far they both haven't had a cavity which is awesome! They did say that Parker needed to lose his other bottom front tooth since it was going to cause his adult teeth to come in reallly crooked. Brynn was told her molars should come out soon since there is no root on them anymore. So we got to wiggling. Brynn's molars are not budging at all. Parker's tooth was wiggly but, not ready.

Chris' parents came to visit with three of the cousins. The kids had a blast. They played all weekend long and were exhausted when everyone left.

We did nothing on New Year's Eve. We actually didn't even make it until midnight which was alright with me, I like my sleep.
