July!

Well July came and went quickly for us! As you know the first 10 days the kids and I were in Boston with my mom. We got home and Chris started his six weeks of vacation. We have not been home one weekend for the last five weeks. We were only home ten days out of the entire month. Busy busy!

- The first weekend we went to Chris' parents cabin with our good friends. The kids had a blast playing with their buddies, riding quads and swimming. My dad came up for one day, it was great to see him since it had been awhile.

-The next weekend we went back to the cabin, this time  with all the family. It was a blast to have all the kids together. It was a great weekend full of swimming, playing, eating and catching up.

- We went to the state fair on a Tuesday since the kids were free. We didn't ride the rides since Chris and I both don't feel that they are very safe. Call us crazy, I don't care. We played some of the carnival games both kids won mini pillow pets, we ate too much nasty food, checked out all the animals. Brynn has confirmed once again that she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. They both loved the baby animals and were shocked at how big some of the cows were.

- The following week we headed to the bay area. Chris had court on Friday and then had training the following Monday so we made a long weekend out of it. We stayed at his work partners/life partner/best friend and his fiances house for Friday night. They had a BBQ with some other coworkers and their wives. We had a great night. Then Saturday we drove to my aunt's house and stayed with them. We swam, ate tons of fresh fruit, and relaxed. Sunday evening we headed back to Moises and Sandy's house and stayed the night with them again. Chris went to training Monday and the kids and I met my dad and brother for breakfast on their trip back from Monterey.

It doesn't look like much but, we did a lot of driving this last month and had a great time seeing everyone. It has been so nice to have us all home together. Now hopefully Chris will get his transfer and there will be an end in sight for all his driving and us not seeing him during the week.
