June:
-Brynn's school was out for summer
-She went to a day camp at the college for a week with her friend
-They swam in the pool everyday
-Parker and Bert the dog were best buddies when Brynn wasn't around
-We throughly enjoyed sleeping in
-We decided to switch Brynn to a different school for the next school year
-Went to Stanford for a check up for Brynn and all was looking fine.
July:
-Brynn got glasses
-We went to Chris' parents cabin and the kids got to expirence the "outdoor life". Worked on getting the city out of these kids
-They went fishing for the first time and LOVED it.
-The kids continued with swim lessons and both moved up a level
-Went to Humboldt for a few days and ended up doing nothing since Parker was sick... boo
-We found a praying mantis in our pool and adopted her (she has had two sets of eggs since)
August:
-The kids went camping with Chris at his parent's cabin without me.
-I went on my first ever weekend girls trip (this was a huge deal for me) never having left the kids or Chris for a whole weekend ever.
-Chris turned 28.
-The kids started school, both at new schools
-Both kids love their new schools and made friends instantly (big relief)
September:
-Chris and I went to Vegas with his work for their softball tournament
-We both got food poisoning the second night we were there. YUCK!
-My mom stayed with the kids and they all had a blast
-Parker decided he doesn't want to go to school anymore because he has to learn... darn it, he's stuck now =)
-Brynn started an art class and absolutely loves it and she's amazingly talented for a seven year old and I'm not just bragging. I'll post pics after the art show this weekend.
-Our truck got hit by a broad at Brynn's school. Luckily we weren't in it when it happened. The lady left the scene and I came out to three officers... fun. They found her and she was uninsured and had a suspended license so we got to deal with that for the better part of the month.
-We found a second praying mantis in the yard and now have two. This one is not as well behaved as Momma Manty. He's littler and likes to run up your arm and fly at your face, his name is Crazy.
October (so far):
-We had the craziest storm we've ever been in. Golf ball sized hail, bolt lightening, tornado warnings, and beautiful rainbows.
-Chris has been busy with court all month. Sucks cause he's gone a lot more but, good so we can pay some bills off. Personally I'd rather have him here and be poor but, I can't have it all.
-Parker decided school is fun again.
-Brynn has been having a lot of playdates with her friends. All of them are great kids and I love having them around.
-Brynn has her first art show next weekend. She is so excited. Her artwork will be displayed and up for silent auction. Pretty cool.
-We went to the ENT doctor yesterday. Not awesome news but, not awful either. She has holes in her eardrums from the tubes that fell out in July. They should've healed up but, haven't. The doctor looked in her nose and throat and said she's looking better than the last time he saw her but, still not great. He put her on a high dose antibiotic and upped her steroid nasal spray for the next two weeks. We go back to Oakland in two weeks for a CT scan of her sinuses and hopefully nothing will be there but, in the case there is we'll discuss dealing with that and her ears at the same time otherwise we may just wait and see what her ears decided to do.
-Parker had a field trip to the pumpkin patch but, we missed it since both kids were home sick.
-We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend but, haven't carved them yet.
And now everyone.... you are caught up on us. Exciting isn't it.... not really
